For transportation Inuits use kayaks, umiaks, snowshoes and dogsleds.

They have got two different types of boats. The Kayak is a boat that can carry only one person. It is small and light and it is covered in seal skins. The Umiak is bigger and an entire family can travel.

But the best known transportation is the dogsled. Huskies are the only animals Eskimos domesticated. The sled is pulled by teams of 7 to 14 Husky dogs.

They also use snowshoes and, of course, snowmobiles.
